Beyonce is the epitome of a modern woman - powerful, glamourous and most definitely a diva.
Choosing Thierry Mugler as her new tour's creative adviser was the perfect collaboration for creating the woman meets warrior duality pictured above. As WWD described it, think of Beyonce as the "tough, chic superheroine type who likes her power glam with a bit of froth; hence, the bow bustle and mismatched gloves that pair lacy fishnet with articulated metal."
Mugler apparently work on all of the shows' visuals including sets and lighting in addition to costumes. Expect an amazing show with elaborate costumes that have a feminine yet, fierce warrior attitude.
And for today's do-it-yourself power women, I can't think of anything more fashionable.

While this season’s runway offerings in L.A. may feel a little disjointed (it’s the first time IMG isn’t sponsoring the shows, leaving things a bit ad hoc), the West Coast style capital still has plenty on its agenda in the days to come. Trovata’s launch at Apartment Number 9 may have been the week’s kick-off party, but tonight’s Gen Art show at the Los Angeles Theatre makes up for some missing cohesion on the runway.

The artist and owner of the Show Pony boutique in Echo Park, Calif. is closing one chapter and opening another. Over the years, the L.A.-based artist and designer has become as well known for her watercolor portraits as her hipster boutique. This weekend marked the opening of an exhibition featuring Buzzelli's artwork at Gallery Space and the closing of Show Pony which has been a fashion mainstay in the hip Los Angeles district for the last nine years. The exhibition titled "Disappear Here: The Art & Fashion of Getting Caught in a Dangle" features 19 new paintings with the artist's signature party girls wearing smudged makeup in a dreamy swirl of colors. Buzzellis' paintings have been featured in Flaunt and Nylon and debuted at Art Basel In Miami last Oct. She plans to continue her foray into the art world and has several projects in the works including collaborations with Urban Decay and Vans. Look for Vans' hipster chic tees, handbags and high tops set to hit stores this Fall.
Congratulations Kime - I wish you a very, very chic new beginning!
