"I spend gallons of coffee and hundreds of cigarettes on each piece,"
said Lola Dupré in an interview with Work magazine on her insane collage creations. Sounds like most creative projects I know! The artist prints out and utlizes multiple images which are pieced together in an often painstaking and monotonous process. The result? These incredible artsy collages. What inspires the artist? Color and shape, fashion and sex, in work and life.
Thank you PaperMag for turning me on to this chic "handbag" by Inés Figaredo! Loving the Spanish designer's provocative designs in which she has a single mission: to explore the bag as an art form. Good news is that Figaredo offers her highly collectible handcrafted bags online and selectively launches new styles throughout the year.

How do you style an electronic dance music sensation?
Call in clothes some of L.A.'s top designers to create a colorful photo spread. Here are a few of the looks featured on Sofi Toufa which are in this month's issue of Vegas Rated magazine. SOFI has been touring with Grammy-nominated DeadMau5, sings lycrics for his tracks and even has a song named in her honor. "SOFI Needs A Ladder" is the star's break out hit with the electronic house DJ. To capture SOFI's personality, it was importat to reference her onstage sense of style via the EDM scene - but with an editorial fashion flair. It turned out to be an incredible shoot and SOFI was a pleasure to work with. She's not only talented, but has a great sense of style and was willing to push the edge. Brian Lichtenberg, Marco Marco, Glynneth B and Juju Gold were featured along with a dramatic red feather gown by New York-based Irina Shabayeva. Scroll down for more images and a video.
Those were the two requirements for Laury Smith's ever so chic '60s themed birthday party. The stylist extraordinare held her party last night in a beautiful modern home in the Hollywood hills. It was a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" meets "Mad Men" worthy party scene ala an industry crowd of photographers, musicians, models, editors and beauty gurus. What did I wear? All vintage of course. A green graphic print dress that I bought in New York, my favorite fur coat and a Pierre Balmain turban that I found while shopping the Clignancourt Market in Paris. Here are some shots of Laury's chic guests and a few fun party pics from the evening.
Happy Birthday Laury!!

Karolina Kurkova is a pillar of golden beauty in this chic gold sequin gown by Rachel Zoe. Who said stylists can't be designers? From what I've read the gown was custom made for Kurkova and that's the kind of eye needed to create a look so perfectly suited for the woman and the occasion. Put this one in the Met Gala history books as iconic.
