I could live here..... Psyc spa at the Parker Palm Springs is so very, very chic!! Today I'm enjoying the luxe life shooting a music video for Kelis' upcoming album. The location is so Mid-century chic and fashion ultra glamorous - thanks to my friend and stylist Paula Bradley. Can't wait to share it on VVC. Stay tuned!!
What is my latest adventure in Mixology? The Wellness Shot.
And I'm quite sure it was the cure for my recent cold. I wasn't feeling bad enough to go to the Dr., but I wasn't feeling well enough to accomplish much of anything. Upon the advice of a friend, I stopped by Earth Bar in Weho - the one-stop shop for all things healthy - to get my wellness shot. It has every healthy ingredient you can think of - lemon, ginger, oregano oil, garlic extract and cayenne pepper - combined in a mini 2 oz. shot for a low price of $5.99. How does it taste? It is quite potent to say the least. I'd compare it to the healthy version of a tequila shot (and they even give you an orange slice as a chaser!) The good news? You will feel better. With flu season around the corner, take my advice and get your wellness shot - on a regular basis - and you will stay healthy.
Happy Birthday Edith Head!! The Oscar winning costume designer would have been 116 today. And the worldwide web is celebrating including Google who posted a colorful banner on its home page. I'm feeling nostalgic as I pull costumes today from Universal Studios where the legendary designer worked from 1967 until her death in 1981. RIP
What's my chic denim pick for Spring '14? MiH Jeans.
I was invited to preview the iconic British brand's latest collection at the Soho House last week and I am obsessed. Founder and Creative Director, Chloe Lonsdale was on hand for the preview and guided me through the collection. Lonsdale is continuing her family's denim legacy. Her godfather originally founded the Made in Heaven brand in 1969 and her father's Jean Machine stores, which launched in the '70s, are legendary. Lonsdales parents, Tony and Chekkie, are credited for the denim revolution in the UK, so it's no surprise that Lonsdale has denim in her genes. Today the London-based lifestyle brand, which she re-launched in 2006, epitomizes the '70s chic look of her model mother and style icons such as Jane Birkin, Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithful, who were fans of the chic, tailored denim line. Lonsdale told me "the common thread is that denim is at the heart of the business...and the clothing reflects the ethos of denim." The collection continues many of the original fits, pocket details and high rise silhouettes, yet styles are updated for today's modern woman with innovative washes, chic lines and beautiful fabrications. When you buy pieces from this collection, rest assured they will be classics that are well worth the investment. I discovered the perfect white silk shirt, a chic boyfriend jean as well as a unique ombre croc print dress. And did I mention the new Body Con jean? It's uber sexy and ever so chic! Made with a high-tech, coil-spring stretch fiber, it not only holds you in, but springs back into shape. Ladies, you will love the skinny fit - a 'go to' for day to night dressing. I can't wait for the collection to hit stores this Spring! Here are some of my favorite looks from the preview at the Soho House LA.

Fashion photography is one of my passions. So, I was ultra excited to be invited to an exclusive preview of the Gilles Bensimon "Elles" exhibition at the Sofitel. The exhibiton showcases the work spanning legendary French photographer's 30-year career and includes many famous faces such as Charlize Theron (above) Audrey Hepburn and French icon Catherine Deneuve - and it celebrates women. It was inspiring to learn that the Sofitel is a company led by women including Senior Vice-President Dominique Colliat, and supports women by promoting them to management levels while encouraging a balance of career and lifestyle. What could be more chic? The exhibition, which has been on tour across the US at four Sofitel properties throughout the year is making its final stop at the Sofitel Los Angeles and will be on display through December. If you have a chance, stop by the hotel for a rare opportunity to view the photos and enjoy a cocktail at the Riviera 31 lounge. Tres, tres chic! Here are a few images from the exhibition showcased in the decidedly French meets Hollywood chic interior of the Sofitel Los Angeles.
Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion has always been a highlight of LA Fashion Week. It's great to have the event back on the official calendar. I was excited to be on this year's nominating committee. So exciting to support upcoming design talent!! Again, Mila Hermanovski, Joseph Singh and Mansoor Scott are the designers who were selected to be in the show. Here is a pictorial of the presentation held at Riviera 31 at the Sofitel. Enjoy!!
I'm not really a "girly girl," but like most girls growing up, Barbies were my thing. Maybe it had something to do with all of her fabulous clothes. So, of course, I was beyond ecstatic when I received the invitation to attend the Herve Leger X Barbie launch event. Rest assured if the Herve Leger by Max Azria Barbie existed back then, I would have been first in line to buy one - clearly, my style!! Barbie's new look is very, very chic in a Herve Leger red bandage dress cinched in by the world's tiniest corset. According to Chief Creative Officer, Lubov Azria, the collaboration was a no brainer. "We thought Barbie is so iconic and so is Herve Leger, so it just seemed
like a wonderful idea," she told me at the event. While Barbie has been dressed by over 70 designers, this collaboration is unique in that Barbie is dressed in authentic Herve Leger, which were actually made in the Herve Leger factory. And she comes with a change of clothes, high heeled boots and accessories. Good luck trying to find one of these highly collectible Barbies. Mattel made approximately 9000 dolls, which retail for $150, and they are nearly sold out online and in stores. I'm glad I got to see the iconic doll up close and snap a few pics! Scroll down for images from the launch event which included plenty of bubbly, a Barbie photo booth AND collectible life size versions of the clothes and accessories which can actually be purchased. Now anyone can be a real life Barbie - c'est chic!

I love working with Sofi Toufa. She's not only a talented musician, but a true artist - and she has killer style. I first styled the EDM artist (think DeadMau5 and Skrillex) for a Vegas Rated feature last year, and when she needed new shots for her sponsors, Monster Energy, she called (or rather tweeted!) me to see if I would style the shoot. And, of course, I was more than stoked to get the call! I pulled some designer looks to create a chic, yet colorful, streetwear edge - think CCR Brand top and leggings, Jon Burdine cage zip jacket and Glynneth B Jewelry in my bts video above. She also wore Brian Lichtenberg, Dimepiece, G-Star, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Cota, Greymer shoes and more. Stay tuned...... MonsterEnergy.com will soon be featuring images from the shoot photographed by the talented Sophia Alvarado. I'll let you know once they are posted. For now, here's a sneak peak from behind-the-scenes.
