Leonard is known for its exquisite prints. I was first introduced to the couture house a few years ago when I attended the Lyon Mode City trade show. While I was in Lyon, the Musées des Tissus et des Arts Décoratifs held an amazing exhibition which chronicled the more than 50 year history of the maison led by Daniel Tribouillard. Japanese influences, floral prints and bold colors are just a few of the hallmarks of the collection. After viewing the stunning exhibition, I found a whole new appreciation for floral prints - so decidedly French! This season the French house's luxurious fabrics took on a new character and attitude. Focusing on modernity, the prints were feminine, yet boldly graphic. Asian-inspired peonies, tribal designs, reptiles and panthers were printed on its signature silk jersey fabrics, flowing dresses and wool suits. It was visual feast in bold pink, blue, red and neutral shades of tan. Luxurious, beautiful, classic.
Love.
