How do you style a rock star?
Leopard prints, black velvet and '60s Mod may come to mind. Those are a few of Fall's key trends and rock star style was the topic on the agenda at Style 2020 Academy's recent debut event. Created by Kathryn Moore in 2009, Style 2020 has become a top personal styling company in Newport Beach, Calif. I was invited to attend the company's latest venture - a styling school which will officially launch in December. For this event, rock starJohnny Royal joined Style 2020's stylists Lisa Marmorino, Hadley Burnham and Jonathan Harrison Kanarek to present a Fall Trend Preview and "How to Style a Rock Star" workshop. Since I am a celebrity stylist, I've styled more than a few rock stars (think Brandon Boyd, SOFI and Collective Soul), but it was a fun opportunity to see how Style 2020 will relay its styling tips to upcoming fashion ingenues. The ten week program will cover more than just rock star style. Students will learn about fashion history, personal and editorial styling as well as how to create a successful styling biz - something Style 2020's stylists have mastered by working with its exclusive clientele. At the event, they presented Fall's top trends and how to style them into rock star look. Think Saint Laurent rock n' roll chic with '60s Mod dresses, black velvet and plenty of leopard prints! Royal, of course, rocked a few of his own rock star looks from the cool clothing selection on hand. And....it wouldn't be a styling workshop without creating looks of our own. Check my look pictured above which includes a Topshop leopard print coat, Kill City tee, Lip Service Cult vinyl leggings and the ultimate rock star accessory - a Peavey guitar. Rock n' roll tres chic!
Now here's your chance to get excited. To celebrate rock star style, Style 2020 Academy has partnered with Peavey Electronics and Lip Service Cult/Kill City for an exciting giveaway contest. To enter to win a brand new Peavey guitar and amplifier and a fall jacket from Lip Service Cult/Kill City, all you have to do is the following:

2. Post your pic on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and use the following hashtags: #STYLE2020Academy, #LipServiceCult, #PeaveyGetMade
3. Cross your fingers.
Good luck, I hope you win!!
