Littlefork is my new favorite restaurant.
I was invited to attend G-Star RAW's dinner there this week and I am now a huge fan. The restaurant opened earlier this year in Hollywood and the food - and ambiance - are incredible. Xaque Gruber named it Hollywood's best new restaurant in a review for the Huffington Post - and I couldn't agree more. I'm an East Side girl and frequent haunts such as Cafe Stella, Little Doms, Cafe Figaro and Cliff's Edge and Littlefork now ranks at the top of my list. Located at the corner of Wilcox and Selma in what used to be Joni Mitchell's recording studio in the '80s, it's easy to find and the menu is more than intriguing. I'm not familiar with cuisine from the Northeast, but now am a fan. Littlefork, created by A-Frame and Sunny Spot owner David Reiss and Chef Jason Travi (Spago, Fraiche) celebrates the delicacies of New England and Montreal. Luckily, we decided to share our dinner - tapas style - so we got to try several dishes. Some of my favorites included the smoked duck, lobster roll, kale salad, and the apple cider donuts with apple butter and salted caramel - delish!! And don't forget the drink menu. Mixology is at its best here. I enjoyed the Kit & Kaboodle - a red beet-infused gin, pistachio orgeat, lime, black pepper tincture and argula concoction. It tasted as good as it sounds. Littlefork most definitely gets the VeryVeryChic seal of approval!! Next time you're in Hollywood, check it out. Thank me now.
